We Lead

We Lead is a flagship leadership development program by SWAG Initiative that supports adolescent girls across Nigeria to become confident, skilled, and visionary leaders in their communities.

The program identifies girls with leadership potential from all six geopolitical zones of Nigeria and provides them with intensive training, mentorship, and platforms to advocate for gender equality.

Key Activities

  • Public speaking and advocacy skill development — Training girls to articulate their views and influence decision-makers
  • Policy engagement and youth representation — Facilitating meetings between girl advocates and policymakers
  • Mentorship pairing with established women leaders — One-on-one mentorship with women in government, business, and civil society
  • Community-based advocacy projects led by girls — Girls design and implement advocacy projects in their communities
