PROMOTING EDUCATION FOR HEALTH AND WELLBEING (O3 PROJECT)

The Promoting Education for Health and Wellbeing (O3 Project) is dedicated to ensuring that adolescent girls in Gwagwalada, Abuja have access to quality education grounded in health and wellbeing principles.

The project takes a holistic approach, addressing not just academic needs but the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of each girl. By engaging parents, teachers, and community leaders, we create a supportive ecosystem for girls' education.

Key Activities

  • School-based health education sessions — Comprehensive health education integrated into the school curriculum
  • Parent and caregiver capacity building — Training parents to support their daughters' education and health needs
  • Distribution of educational materials and supplies — Providing textbooks, notebooks, and learning aids to reduce barriers
  • Mentorship and scholarship support — Connecting girls with mentors and providing financial support for education
  • Community engagement and awareness campaigns — Building community support for girls' education

Impact

Through the O3 Project, over 300 girls have stayed in school and improved their academic performance. Parent engagement has increased significantly, with over 50 caregivers actively supporting their daughters' education.
